[MAKEUP] Wish List Wednesday

Hey Beauties! Welcome back to another Wish List Wednesday, I wish I could post some actual reviews for you guys, but I've been so busy with school I haven't had the chance to pick up anything new :(

Anyhow, today's wish list consists of products from The Balm and Too Faced. I was going to include Stila, but there were too many things I wanted to try it deserved it's own post.

We'll start with the ever so cute The Balm Cosmetics!

 1. Of course I had to put in the oh so famous Mary-Lou Manizer - $24.00
If you haven't hear of Mary-Lou Manizer, then you're definitely missing out! It's been so hyped up on YouTube and it's a great highlighter that doesn't add too much shimmer and adds a touch of radiance. (Click the picture to visit the website)

2. Balm Voyage - Holiday Face Palette - $42.50
This palette includes 16 different eyeshadows (a combo of matte and shimmery colors) and three lip and cheek colors. It seems like an extremely versatile palette that would be great for traveling and there's a good mixture of extremely wearable colors.

3. How Bout Them Apples? - $32.00
To be honest a part of me only wants this palette because of the name lol, but I do love the colors in this palette. It's a cream cheek and lip palette and all the colors seem wearable, yes even that bright red one on the top right. I love palettes that are multi-purpose because you get more bang for your buck!

Now on to one of my favorite brands Too Faced! I don't have that many picks for this one because the item that I wanted most I finally got my hands on (it was the sweetheart blushes)!

4. Bonjour Soliel (Bronzer Palette) - $44.00
If you're a religious YouTube beauty channel watcher, there's a good chance that you've heard of Too Faced's Chocolate Soliel Bronzer. This palette, in my opinion, is an amazing value because you get that bronzer and two other popular bronzers (Sun Bunny and Snow Bunny). The two Bunny bronzers are shimmery, while the Chocolate Soliel bronzer is matte.

5. Chocolate Bar E/S Palette - $49.00
This is another cult favorite from the beauty community on YouTube, a great mix of warm/neutral colors and CHOCOLATE! Yes, it smells like chocolate!! The one thing that I love about Too Faced is the pigmentation of their eyeshadows, and this palette definitely looks like it doesn't disappoint! There's a mixture of matte and shimmery shadows, but majority of the shadows are shimmery.

Well, that's it for my Wish List Wednesday! What has been on your wish list lately?? Share in the comments below! :)

[FASHION] My Type of Look Tuesday - Spring Day Date

Spring Day Date

Spring Day Date by ciaociao808 featuring clip earrings

Welcome back Beauties to another My Look Tuesday! Today's look is great for a simple Spring/Summer day date! I would definitely wear something like this for a date with my boyfriend; we usually have pretty relaxing dates where we'll go see a movie and then have dinner somewhere or walk the strip (the Las Vegas strip to be exact lol). What you see here is a light beige printed dress with a light gray cardigan, it would be great during the nights when it gets a little chilly outdoors, I paired it with flats since it'd be easy to walk around in, and simple gold jewelry.

As far as makeup goes, my boyfriend really doesn't like me wearing too much (he definitely prefers bare-face since he can see my freckles lol), but I love to do my makeup whenever I know we're going on a date! With this look, I'd definitely go with a lighter smokey eyes, focusing on the pinks and browns for the romantic feel and of course pairing it with a balm stain so that the lip color stays on all day/night.

Here are some more affordable alternatives if you'd want to recreate this look (you can click on the picture to go to the websites if you see something you like!):

Wet Seal - Laced Skater Dress (Coral): $29.90

Charlotte Russe - Marled Dolman Cocoon Cardigan - $16.99

Target - Xhilaration - Shae Ballet Flat - $19.99

Forever 21 - Darling Twisted Bangle Set - $5.80

Forever 21 - Sweet Statement Studs - $2.80

L'Oreal - Color Riche Eyeshadow Quad - Rose for Romance - $7.99

Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain - Sweetheart - $8.99

What are your must-haves for a date day? I love using products that I know will stay all day, and when it comes to my outfits, I definitely lean towards something that I'll be comfortable in and gives me confidence! Nothing is more beautiful than confidence :)

Have a great day Beauties!

[NAILS] Mani Monday - feat. Sally Hansen Coral Fever

Happy Monday Beauties! Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready to take on the week. For today's post I decided to do a mani Monday since I decided to treat myself to a little relaxation time last night (Sunday night). Since it's Spring time, I definitely wanted to go with a brighter/fun-er color, so I went into my nail polish collection and whipped out one of the brightest colors I have which is Sally Hansen's Coral Fever.

In the bottle it looks like a soft coral color (even though the picture shows it being 1-2 shades darker than it is in person), but on my nails it dries to a darker shade, yet it still has a neon-like coral. Something that works to my benefit is that it makes my hands look super tan, which helps since I'm like a shade of gray because I've been covered up during Winter.

Sorry for the messed up cuticles, but as you can see it's like a fun Spring/Summer color. I'm still iffy on whether or not I want to actually keep this on my nails because although I wanted something bright/fun, I still like my blues and periwinkles.

What are you Beauties sporting on your nails this week?

[FAVE] YouTube-ers - 1

Happy Saturday Beauties! If you're like me, you definitely love watching YouTube videos and you have a couple of favorite YouTubers. For me, I go through phases; don't get me wrong, I love all the YouTubers I'm subscribed to, but I go through phases where I wake up and want to watch a specific YouTube-er's video. So here are my top 4 for this week!

1. the SACCONEJOLYs - YouTube Channel Here
Meet Anna, Jofee, Emilia, Eduardo, and their 6 precious doggies! They're an Irish Family (from Ireland) and they vlog everyday. They just recently added a precious edition (Eduardo) to their family and I think it's just neat to see how life differs from here in the U.S. and their kids both human and doggies are precious and adorable!

2. MakeupByLeinaBaaaby - YouTube Channel Here
I've been watching Leina's videos ever since I joined YouTube about 5-6 years ago. I love the looks that she creates and in my opinion she is one of the most down to Earth YouTube-er out there. I'm glad that she honestly has stayed as grounded as she has and I love love love her tutorials! A lot of them use fun colors/glitters and she's the one who got me into actually wearing color eyeshadows and helped me to not be afraid of colors.

3. dope2111 - YouTube Channel Here
If you want to talk about a makeup artist, Promise is an amazing makeup artist. She's a magician with a brush and she has done some pretty amazing transformations. She's turned herself into Zayn Malik (from One Direction), Lorde, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, etc! She really is amazing and I've been going back through her older videos and I'm constantly in awe of how talented she is. She also has amazing Halloween tutorials which you should definitely check out!

4. LoveBLENDnBeauty - YouTube Channel Here
Rach is another one of the YouTube-ers that I've been watching for years! I love how honest and down to Earth she is. She keeps things extremely real and she has so many helpful tips and knows what she's talking about; I really trust her opinion because she works at Sephora and she's able to test products and give honest reviews about them. I also love all her makeup looks. Her brows are always on point, her instructions are so clear, and she's just the bombdotcom! Definitely check her out.

So that's it for my favorite YouTube-ers of the moment! I hope you guys enjoyed and definitely let me know other YouTube-ers I should check out! If you want I can compile a playlist of my favorite videos from these YouTube-ers and link the playlist down below! Have a great Saturday!!

[LATE] WISH LIST WEDNESDAY!

Hey Beauties! I wanted to post this yesterday, but I was caught up in a bunch of school work (currently trying to complete a bunch of group projects, shopping for professional wear, and starting on study guides for my finals). Anyhow, I decided that it didn't hurt if I posted this late and I needed something to post today (Thursday) so I thought why not.

Wish List Wednesday is basically a list of all the items that I have been wanting to try or would to get my hands on, but because I'm a broke college student I end up just lusting over the products until I have enough saved to actually purchase it.

REVIEW: NYX - Eyeshadow Base - ESB 03 (Skin Tone)

Now we need to talk about one of my favorite brands out there, NYX. I love how affordable their products are and I love the quality of their products. I jumped at the opportunity to try out this eyeshadow base when I ran out of my Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I loved the fact that this product is in a pot and that it's not a liquid/cream formula. The fact that it's in a pot provides me with a lot of product and a more solid type of formula which is nice because it provides a decent amount of coverage without being too heavy.

I haven't tried too many eyeshadow bases/primers mainly because it takes forever for me to use up just one of them. As a base, it does really well and the wear time is pretty impressive. Some of my favorite aspects is that:
  • It's not too tacky or dry
  • Provides a decent amount of coverage
    • Sometimes if my dark circles aren't too bad I can double this up as concealer
  • A lot of product
  • Packaging is extremely portable/heavy duty
  • Affordable
  • Doesn't crease
The one thing that I can see as being a problem for people is the fact that it's in a pot. I know some have problems with the thought of sticking your finger in there and the whole sanitary issue, but I always sanitize my hands before I start on my eye makeup, and I think if you do that then it should be okay.

I've had this for over a year, and I still have a lot left! It's a really great affordable eyeshadow base/primer that will last you a long time, and I feel like it's great with eyeshadows that have some fallout because the base is a little tacky so it sticks to it.

It blends in very nicely and it doesn't take much because the warmth of your fingers help it a lot. If you use a brush you'll want to definitely consider blending it out with your fingers so that it looks more flawless and blends in better.

What are some of your favorite products from NYX? I also love their single eyeshadows, I'll post my favorites in a later post!

My Type of Look Tuesday

Basic and Everyday

Now that the weather has been warming up, I'm so excited to lose the layers! With the sun coming out (and so is the tan) it's time to break out the brighter/lighter colors and breathable clothes!

Up above is a simple outfit that I would wear; not necessarily this outfit, but something very similar. I love maxi skirts because they're so easy to wear and it makes it look like you've spent hours getting ready. For the top, something light and a little oversized adds a relaxed and easy-going feel to the outfit. Topped off with simple accessories and makeup, you really can't go wrong. I love wearing these types of outfits to meet up with friends, go to school, or even meet up with the boyfriend for a lunch/dinner.

Here's a list of places & prices where you can find these items or something similar!

Target Maxi Skirt - $17.99

Charming Charlie - Bling Tone Watch

**Note that the prices may be different from the actual in-store prices or even online prices.

I know this isn't my usual makeup/review post, but I thought that it would be nice to show my sense of style. Although, I don't really have any style haha, I just like to wear whatever is comfortable for me. Anyhow, what are some of your staple must-haves during the warmer weather?
