Review: Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser

I use this product 1-2 times a week, and it stays in my shower caddy. Overall I think this this is a great problem and a great alternative to anybody that doesn't like using the pore strips that we're all familiar with. The warming sensation has to be the most unique thing about this product, I haven't really seen any other company come up with a concept like this. I've been using it for, I believe, six months and I've had no problems with my nose and chin area becoming inflamed and red. Here's the breakdown of the product:

Packaging: 10/10- I love the packaging on this, it's a squeeze tube and it doesn't take up a lot of space. The packaging allows the product to be easily dispensed and easy to pack to take on long trips or vacations, and the cap doesn't feel like one of those cheap caps that can easily crack. It feels like a heavy-duty plastic cap that can withstand a lot.

Product: 9/10- When I talk about product, I'm mainly talking about does the product perform the tasks that it says it will, and for this it mainly fulfills it's promise. I have noticed that I'm not getting as many blackheads as I used to get, but that doesn't mean I'm completely free of them. There are very few blackheads that occur, but they're not noticeable. Before my blackheads were extremely noticeable and I didn't have the luxury to use pore strips whenever I felt the need to, if I did I would've used a pore strip every week! The product helped to reduce the amount of blackheads I have and it also made them smaller.

Smell: 8/10- The smell, the smell, the smell... When I first smelled it, I really liked it because it was fresh and clean. It really reminds me of the cucumber melon scents that are out there. Before I started using this in the shower I would do spot treatments before I went to bed and the smell was fine to me. When I used it in the shower, the smell mixed with the steam and the other scents in my shower create a not so pleasant smell. It almost comes off as smelling like an herb, which I don't really care for. That's the main problem that I have with the smell, but I put up with it because I really do like this product.

Texture/Feel: 10/10- Overall the texture of it feels more like a gel rather than a cream. When I think of cream, I think of a lotion type of texture, but this feels more like a heavy gel with micro-beads mixed in. I love having the micro-beads in there because I feel that that is what is really taking out the blackheads. It's almost like the St. Ives Apricot scrub, minus the cream like texture. The warming sensation is also extremely pleasant and it makes me feel like I'm at some kind of fancy spa with a nice warm towel wrapped around my face. The heating sensation may be something that will either be too harsh or not even noticeable depending on your sensitivity of your skin.

Performance: 10/10- After using it for a long period of time, the product hasn't lost that warming sensation and it still performs like it did the first day I got it. I was extremely hesitant about using this because I felt that it may be to harsh for my skin, especially around my nose area, but I have had no breakouts, rashes, inflammation, or any reaction to it. The product performs extremely well and I've had no problems with it.

Results: 9.5/10- After using it the first day, I did see that a lot of my blackheads had disappeared and the area around my nose felt extremely smooth, I even noticed that it took off some of my white heads as well. I did an experiment with it to see just how much of my blackheads were removed with this product. So I stopped using it for a week and used a pore strip to remove my blackheads. Let me tell you, I had a good 1/2-1 inch section of blackheads from one side of my nose are (I hope that makes sense). The next week I used this 2 times, allowing a couple days in between each use for my skin to recover, and then I went back with a pore strip to see what the difference was, and it was amazing! I found that I had maybe 10 blackheads total which was a huge improvement.

Overall I can't complain about this product, and it really is a good buy when I calculate everything through. I no longer have to buy pore strips because this product takes care of majority of my blackheads. It's a great product if you have non-sensitive skin, but the pain of using a pore strip is just too much to handle. The only thing is that the warming sensation may be too harsh for some people. The smell may also be too overwhelming to some as well. Hope this review helped!!
