Breakdown:
- The packaging - let's get over the first most obvious thing, the packaging is adorable and clean. I like how the cap clicks on to the base and the lip balm isn't above the surrounding container, so I don't have to worry about nicking the actual product. The packaging is also lightweight and easy to use.
- Smell - Don't let the name of the color deceive you, it definitely does not have a fruity scent to it. It straight up smells like menthol, which I honestly don't have a problem with. It's not too overwhelming, it's light and after you apply it, you can't really notice the scent.
- Pigmentation - I honestly wasn't expecting this to be pigmented or to even show up on my lips (my lips are pretty pigmented). I was right to not see much difference in the color of my lips; it does make them look a little bit more berry-toned, but nothing extremely noticeable.
- Product - The actual lip balm surprised me. It's really light feeling on the lips and doesn't feel heavy or goopy. It has a little sheen to it when you first apply it (like you applied lip gloss) and after a little while it dries to blend in with your natural lips. Although there may be menthol in it, it doesn't give an extremely tingly feeling on the lips. It's really light and refreshing.
- Price - I'm not too crazy about the price. I believe when they first came out the Baby Lips line was pretty reasonably priced ($1-$3) but when i purchased this, it was $3.98. I honestly don't know if I'm willing to purchase more of these, but because of my experience with this one I may be tempted to purchase more.
Overall:
I really do like this product, I think it's great and it helps condition my lips a lot and it's been my go-to product whenever I'm out and about. It's somewhat affordable and you get the same amount of product you would with regular ChapStick.
Have you tried out this product? Or maybe other colors?? What do you think about it??
Until the next post, stay beautiful and happy!!
